March Already? Here’s Where I Am with My Promise to Show Up
I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions. But I did make a quiet promise to myself this year—to show up more consistently on Instagram. Not for the algorithm. Not to prove anything. But to stay in rhythm with my voice, my values, and my visibility.
I teach a Content Creation Intensive that helps savvy business owners create 30 days of content in just 2 hours. And like any good guide, I’ve been walking the same path I ask others to walk.
Now that we’re deep into the year, I’ve been reflecting:
How am I really travelling with my content consistency?
Here’s what I’ve learned so far.
1. Creativity Loves Space
It’s easier to write when I step away from the noise.
Not every post is born at the desk. Sometimes it comes through in the quiet of a walk, the margin of a morning, the in-between moments. Getting away from the endless tabs and task lists helps ideas arrive unforced.
Creativity isn’t a machine—it’s a relationship. It needs space, silence, softness.
2. Patience Is Part of the Process
Some days, the words don’t come.
But eventually, they do.
I’m learning to be patient with my creativity. To trust that it will return, especially when I meet it with ritual and routine rather than urgency.
Consistency isn’t about always being brilliant.
It’s about always being willing.
3. Mind Maps Are My Muse
If you think you’re “not good” at writing—try a mind map.
Big sheets of paper. Bright markers. One central word and then a web of associations.
It’s fast. It’s visual. It clears the fog.
Mind mapping has become my favorite way to unlock content. It doesn’t just lead to a post—it often leads to new offers, new clarity, and fresh creative direction.
Before you know it—BOOM:
30 post ideas.
A new brand voice.
A sharper vision.
This one tool is a creative game-changer.
4. Canva Is a Gift
Honestly? Canva is a content creator’s best friend.
Templates help me stay in flow instead of fumbling with formatting.
Beautiful doesn’t have to mean complicated.
Clean visuals support a clear message.
5. The More You Write, the Better It Gets
Each post, each caption, each paragraph—it adds up.
Your writing gets stronger.
Your voice gets louder.
Your business message gets clearer.
Even better? You get more confident.
Consistency breeds clarity, and clarity breeds courage.
6. Planning Content = Peace of Mind = Content Consistency
Here’s the truth:Content consistency isn’t just a marketing move—it’s a nervous system strategy.
When I plan ahead, I relieve future stress.
I make space for spontaneity because I know the basics are already covered.
I show up grounded, not scrambling.
This is what I want for every business owner I work with.
Not just more posts, but more peace.
7. Most Business Owners Struggle Here—And It’s Not Their Fault
As a social media strategist, I see it all the time:
Brilliant women.
Heart-led business owners.
Savvy creatives.
All of them too busy working in their business to create content for their business.
Time feels tight.
Creative energy feels rare.
So consistency becomes a luxury.
That’s why I created the Content Creation Intensive.
To simplify the process.
To give you a rhythm.
To help you batch content in a way that actually feels good.
Some clients work alongside me and develop the skill.
Others prefer to outsource it altogether.
Both are valid. Both are powerful.
Either way—you’re no longer stuck.
Ready to Build Your Content Rhythm?
If content consistency has felt like a struggle, you’re not alone.
But it doesn’t have to stay this way.
You can build a practice that feels more like creative ritual than digital pressure.
You can find your voice again—and trust it enough to share it.
You can plan ahead and breathe easier.
And if you need a guide, I’d love to help.
